"The Gayatri Illumination"
Each petal represents each one of us. The mantra in the centre blossoming out from the seed of life, represents our power within, present in our seed. The half moons represent the feminine and the rising suns represent the masculine sides of us, to remind us that we have both qualities, that we are not separate, we are one. The flames symbolise cleansing and protecting fires which is how the Gayatri Mantra purify us. The sun and the moon also represent how the Gayatri illuminates our lives, from darkness to light.
The Devi colour of red for power, pink for love and purple for higher consciousness have been used.
May the light of the Gayatri illuminate all. This is my offering and my prayer.
'Om bhur bhuva svah tat savitur varenyam bhargo devasya dheemahi dhiyo yo nah prachodayat' is a mantra to invoke the Gayatri Devi, who is considered to be the universal divine mother. She is regarded as the mother of the sacred Vedas and the divine energy that animates all things. The Gayatri Mantra is regarded as the most sacred of all mantras. It is a chant for tuning in to our inner peace and our inner power, to come out from darkness to light, from suffering to freedom, to connect to the Gayatri within.
